All services provided by MedicsTutor are delivered online only via third-party video conferencing platforms such as Zoom. Sessions may be delivered on a one-to-one or small group basis.

All content and tutoring provided is for educational purposes only and does not constitute medical, clinical, or professional advice. MedicsTutor does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

2. Eligibility

By using MedicsTutor, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years old.

  • You are using the services for the purpose of exam preparation or professional education.

  • You have the legal authority to enter into these Terms.

Users are responsible for ensuring that the services are suitable for their individual learning needs and exam requirements.

3. Account Registration and Termination

To access certain features, service users are required to register and create an account. Service users agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information.

  • Maintain the confidentiality of their login credentials.

  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

  • Be fully responsible for all activities that occur under their username and password.

Failure to do any of the above will cause unavailability of the service.

Service users can terminate their account and stop using MedicsTutor at any time by directly contacting MedicsTutor using the contact details provided on this website.

MedicsTutor reserves the right to suspend or terminate user accounts at any time where we reasonably believe there has been a breach of these Terms, misuse of the platform, or where required for legal, regulatory, or operational reasons.

Termination of an account does not automatically entitle the user to a refund for services already provided or sessions already booked, unless required by law.

4. Payment and Refund Policy

Fees for courses or tutoring sessions must be paid in advance unless otherwise stated. All prices are listed in GBP (£).

In accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, consumers have the right to cancel their purchase within 14 days of booking, unless:

  • The tutoring session has already taken place; or

  • The service has begun with the consumer’s express consent and acknowledgment that their cancellation rights are lost once the service has started.

Once a tutoring session has been delivered, no refunds will be provided for that session. Missed sessions, late arrivals, or failure to attend a scheduled session without prior notice will not be eligible for a refund.

Any rescheduling or cancellation requests must be made in accordance with our published cancellation policy, available on our website.

5. Cancellation, Rescheduling and Missed Sessions

Users may request to cancel or reschedule a booked session by contacting MedicsTutor in accordance with the cancellation timeframes published on our website.

Where sufficient notice is given, MedicsTutor may, at its discretion, offer a rescheduled session or credit. Refunds are not guaranteed unless required by law.

Failure to attend a scheduled session, late arrival, or technical issues on the user’s side (including internet connectivity or device failure) will be treated as a missed session and will not be eligible for a refund or reschedule.

Where MedicsTutor cancels a session for reasons within our control, we will offer either a rescheduled session or a refund for that session.

6. Use of Content

  • All materials provided through MedicsTutor are for personal, non-commercial educational use only.

  • You may not copy, distribute, record, or publicly display our content without written permission.

  • Any misuse of the content may result in suspension or termination of access, and/or legal action

Users must not record, screen-record, photograph, download, or otherwise capture live tutoring sessions, whether delivered via Zoom or any other platform, without prior written consent.

Users must not share session links, login details, or course materials with third parties.

7. Code of Conduct

Service users agree not to:

  • Use the platform for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose.

  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users or tutors.

  • Upload or share offensive, inappropriate, or misleading content.

MedicsTutor retains the right, at its sole discretion, to suspend or permanently remove user accounts at any time and without prior notice if they are deemed inappropriate, offensive, or in breach of these Terms. Such suspension or removal does not entitle the user to any form of compensation, refund, or reimbursement. If the suspension or removal results from actions attributable to the user, the user remains responsible for any outstanding fees or charges.

The Tutors of MedicsTutor reserve the right to end a session with any participant if their behaviour is deemed to be disruptive or inappropriate. In the case of group sessions, MedicsTutor reserves the right to remove a participant from a session where their behaviour is disruptive, inappropriate, or interferes with the learning of others.

Removal from a session due to user conduct will not entitle the user to a refund.

8. Online Delivery and Technical Requirements

All services are delivered online. Users are responsible for ensuring they have a suitable device, internet connection, and software required to access sessions.

MedicsTutor is not responsible for disruptions caused by the user’s equipment, internet connection, firewalls, or software compatibility.

Where technical issues arise on MedicsTutor’s side that materially prevent delivery of a session, we will take reasonable steps to reschedule or provide an alternative solution.

9. Session Recordings

Live tutoring sessions may be recorded using Zoom’s built-in recording features.

Recordings will only be made available to users who were registered participants in the relevant session and are provided solely for personal educational use.

MedicsTutor may use these recordings for internal training or quality monitoring purposes.

Users must not download, share, distribute, or make recordings available to any third party without MedicsTutor’s prior written consent.

MedicsTutor reserves the right to control access to recordings, including limiting the duration of availability or removing access at any time.

10. Group Sessions

Group tutoring sessions are delivered to multiple participants simultaneously. MedicsTutor does not guarantee individual speaking time, personalised feedback, or uninterrupted participation during group sessions.

Users acknowledge that group sessions may vary depending on group size, interaction, and participant engagement.

No partial refunds will be provided for dissatisfaction arising solely from the group-based nature of a session.

12. Assignment and Third-Party Rights

Users may not assign, transfer, or share their rights or obligations under these Terms without MedicsTutor’s prior written consent.

These Terms do not confer any rights on any third party under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.

13. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms shall limit or exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability which cannot be excluded under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MedicsTutor shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including loss of exam results, career progression, or earnings.

MedicsTutor does not guarantee exam success or specific outcomes.

Our total liability in connection with any service shall be limited to the amount paid by the user for the relevant service.

MedicsTutor is not responsible for failures or interruptions caused by third-party platforms, including Zoom.

14. Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will apply from the date they are published on our website and will not affect bookings already confirmed prior to the update.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

16. Force Majeure

MedicsTutor shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance of its obligations where such failure or delay results from events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, power outages, internet failures, strikes, pandemics, government actions, or failure of third-party service providers.
